LA MAISON DE MAÎTRE:
THE PLEASURE OF BEING TOGETHER

LIVING AREAS

LIVING ROOM

Description
It is a pleasure to enjoy one another’s company in this comfortable 56m2 living room. The understated interior design leverages materials with a natural nobility and elegance: Burgundy stone, whitewash, wood and, of course, the waxed concrete staircase and steel banisters. The entrance hall, living room, dining room and play area occupy separate areas of one open-plan living space, creating a friendly living area that also opens on to the terrace. Light streams through the windows and French windows, which also provide an open view of the surrounding nature, as if the living room and exterior were one.

Equipment
Guests are welcome to use the piano (Yamaha) located in the entrance hall. The living room includes two comfortable 3- and 4-seater sofas, one on either side of the fireplace. Both can be folded down into beds with high-quality mattresses (140x200 and 160x200 in size). Above the satellite TV and DVD player, an old grandfather clock gently ticks the day away. The dining table can seat up to 10 guests and, under the staircase, a further four-person table is available in the children's play area.

KITCHEN

Description

Everything is within easy reach; there are numerous cupboards, high-tech accessories, and a spacious work surface. And those who prefer to watch the master chef at work can sit comfortably at the bar, or set the table on the nearby terrace.

BEDROOMS

The Monet bedroom

This is the most spacious and most romantic of our bedrooms, with its high ceiling, whitewashed roof beams, green tinted walls, and its magnificent sunset view over the hillside vineyards. It has its own delightful bathroom and shower unit
The 18m2 Monet bedroom is furnished with a double bed (180x200) that can be separated into two twin beds (90x200). The fireside armchair can be pulled out into an extra bed (90x200) if needed. The room also has a large fitted wardrobe and an antique chest of drawers.

The Turner bedroom

On the walls of the Turner room, a blue sun shines in a vibrant sky. This first floor bedroom has a wonderfully high ceiling and a west-facing window that looks out over the hillside vineyards. Serenity reigns in both the bedroom and its calm, spacious bathroom.
The 16m2 Turner bedroom is furnished with a double bed (180x200) that can be separated into two twin beds (90x200). There is also ample room for an additional 90x200 bed, if necessary. The room also includes a chest of drawers, two bedside tables (family heirlooms) and a small wardrobe (a colonial era antique).

The Alcove

To the left of the staircase, this alcove overlooks the main living area and is lit by an overhead window. At night, it can be curtained off to sleep one or two people in privacy.
The 8m2 alcove is furnished with a single bed (90x200) that can be combined with another to make a double bed (180x200)

The Klimt bedroom

This bedroom is named for the golden and bronze patina of its walls. It is a light-filled room that opens on to the east-facing courtyard. Its ground-floor location makes it more accessible to people with reduced mobility (grandparents, or a clumsy cousin with a broken leg), although it does not meet all the legal requirements for full handicapped access.
The 13m2 Klimt bedroom includes a double bed (180x200) that can be separated into two twin beds (90x200), and has a fitted wardrobe. Two sliding doors lead to a WC and bathroom, which is decorated with a beautiful hand-painted fresco.
